Learn
basic techniques in needle felting to create round and tube jewelry beads.
Beads can be created in solid colors or with simple patterns. Finished beads
will be embellished with threads, seed beads and ribbon. You can bring your own
beads, or use ours. You will leave this workshop with enough beads to make a
bracelet or necklace.
Artypalooza! An exciting week of workshops!
Take
one or all five, either way you will love what you make! No experience necessary. We will be teaching you techniques,
as well as providing a fun and stress free atmosphere. Don’t bring a thing
because it’s all provided.

–Textured Metal Jewelry
Learn traditional texturing techniques for metal using
simple tools. Combine copper and sterling floral pieces with beads to create
your own unique jewelry.
Tuesday – Shibori Scarves
The beauty of silk is that it can be worn year-round.
Learn the traditional Japanese surface design techniques of shibori to wrap,
tie and dye a unique silk scarf. Each artist will make 2 shibori silk scarves.
No experience necessary.
Wednesday-
Ohhh Wow! More Shibori Scarves!!!

Thursday – Felted and Wool
Jewelry
Learn the basics for felted beads using prewashed,
shrunken wool sweaters and cool fabric and yarn scraps, we will create great
jewelry from recycled materials.
Friday – Simple Books
Handmade books make great gifts. Join us for this fun
workshop where participants will learn to make several styles of small books
using handmade papers, and other recycled objects.

July 9 Noon – 3 pm $30
Learn
this traditional technique with a contemporary twist. Soy wax is easy to use
with the same results as beeswax and paraffin. Each participant will make a
pillow case, table runner or wall hanging. You can bring your own drawing or
symbol to use or patterns will be available.
